D'Artagnan

D'Artagnan is still a teenager when he leaves his native Gascogne "to go up" to Paris. In the series, he is just 15 years old and he dreams to become musketeer. He is far from thinking of the difficulties he will encounter and the very important missions which will be given to him thereafter. If he is still impetuous and inexperienced, courage and will do not miss him to achieve his goal. The sense of the honor take also part of his qualities. In spite of his sometimes riding manners, D'Artagnan is somebody very sensitive. He easily lets himself have by women, by the disconcerting Milady or the soft Constance with which he is very in love......

History: Charles de Batz, count d' Artagnan. Gentleman Gascon (about 1611 - 1673), captain in the musketeers of king (Louis XIV), then brigadier, killed with the head office of Maastricht and made famous for the novels of Alexandre Dumas father.

Jean "Le Va Nus Pieds"

This 9 years old orphan little boy wandering in Paris and sells small wood headstocks which he himself makes. His life changes when he meets D'Artagnan. He is the first to offer to him hospitality on his boat moored on the Seine. Both will become inseparable and his agility will save D'Artagnan of many bad steps! Moreover, he is a perfect handyman who manages to create all kinds of inventions and very useful gadgets.
Jean is not completely orphan because he seeks his mother, Catherine, of which he was separate when he was 3 years old. This mystery will not be revealed in the TV series, but only at the end of the movie..

Athos

Athos is in a way the head of the famous "three musketeers". At 28 years old, he is the oldest of the group. Calm and considered, he handles however the sword with accuracy. It is difficult to imagine that he could have been misused in the past. Indeed, former count of Fère, this noble lord was ruined after being married with an adventurous woman who spent all his fortune! Since, he engaged in the musketeers and swore to never be misused by smart ladies... Nevertheless, through the elegance which characterizes him, he kept some traces on his tempting side..

Porthos

We do not know many things about this 25 year old strapping fellow except his name, Porthos du Vallon. Each time there is a brawl, he is the first to want to pit himself against the adversary, even if it means to sink in the heap! But what he is the most interested, it is certainly to do feast with his comrades. It does not prevent him from being kind-hearted and he will very often rescue D'Artagnan.

Aramis

Aramis is the most emblematic character of the series because the Japanese decided to make a woman of it! This choice is not completely improvised because in the original history, Aramis is already the most romantic, the most poetic and the most sensitive of the musketeers. 22 years old in the series, she becomes an androgyne character because very few people know about her femininity, since she passes her off as a man. Jean will very quickly discover the secret of Aramis (in the episode 4) by observing her in her bath!
The youth of Aramis was crossed by a tragic event. Her desire to pass her off as a man and to be engaged as musketeer hide an old wound and a secret revenge. The history of Aramis will be told in the last episodes, but especially in the film which is entirely devoted to her.

Constance

Daughter of the tailor Bonacieux, Constance is especially the most faithful chambermaid of the Queen of France. She even become her confidant since she is the only person to know her secret relationship with the Duke of Buckhingham. So Constance is often in charge of perilous secret missions. Courted by D'Artagnan, she initially refuses to answer his advances, judging him too lout and young person (she is 16 years old, and him 15). She will end up falling under his charm, especially because he will save her life more than one once!
